Peekly only reads the official Etsy Open API. There is no scraper and no purchased third-party Etsy dataset. This page separates real API fields, labeled estimates, and permanent dashes.
Real API fields
- Active listing counts and listing samples for a keyword search
- Listing title, tags, price, favorites, views (when returned), images, shop name
- Shop active listings, admirers, lifetime sales total, and review summary
Estimates (always labeled)
- Keyword difficulty (KD) — Peekly formula from competition and sample save rates. Not an Etsy field. Easy / Medium / Hard bands describe the score.
- Favs / view — favorites ÷ views on listings that return views. Not click-through rate.
- Opportunity score — ranks related / near-match ideas by ease and demand. Uses Google volume when connected; otherwise Etsy competition and engagement only.
- Fee calculator — client-side math from publicly documented seller fees. Not from the API.
Google metrics (when configured)
Search volume, ad competition, and CPC come from Google Ads Keyword Planner for the country you select. They are never labeled as Etsy search volume. Until Google Ads Basic Access credentials are set, those cards stay a dash.
Always a dash from Etsy
Etsy does not expose these via the Open API we use, so Peekly never invents them:
- Etsy-native search volume
- Click-through rate
- Competitor per-listing units sold or revenue
- Buyer geography and traffic sources for other shops
Freshness
Listing-derived results are cached about 3 hours (never shown past 6 hours). Shop and similar content cache about 6 hours (never shown past 24 hours), matching Etsy API display rules.
