NicheKite vs eRank
eRank’s free plan is genuinely useful. NicheKite will not show the search volume or shop sales estimates eRank publishes. Prices checked on 2 October 2026.

I use the public facts, then I stop. eRank is a mature Etsy research product with a free plan that is not a 7-day demo. NicheKite is a narrower one: official API fields, labeled math, and no invented Etsy search volume.
Price
Checked on 2 October 2026 at erank.com/plans.
- Free: $0. 5 keyword lookups/day, 1 shop and 50 listings, 5 listing audits/day, 1 AI Listing Helper use/day.
- Basic: $5.99/mo, or $5.50/mo ($65.99) annually. The page adds keyword ideas, 100 lookups/day, 5 competitors, 200 connected listings, 50 audits/day.
- Pro: $9.99/mo, or $7.92/mo ($94.99) annually. Higher lookups, 50 competitors, 4,000 connected listings, 200 audits/day.
- Expert: $29.99/mo, or $22.50/mo ($269.99) annually.
eRank says you can cancel from settings and keep the plan until the period ends, then you drop to free. That is a clean policy. I have no complaint about it.
NicheKite’s published labels are Free $0, Pro $7–9, and Power $19, and billing is not turned on. Do not read that as “NicheKite Pro equals eRank Pro”. The names collided. The products did not.
Where eRank is stronger
Keyword ideas, saved keyword lists, competitor monitoring, listing audits against their checklist, and trend data they say covers Etsy plus other marketplaces. If your morning is “give me phrases I have not thought of”, eRank is the tool. Their page also describes estimated daily sales for a shop. That estimate is the part I will not reprint as fact. Explanation: does Etsy show search volume?.
Where NicheKite is stronger
Showing the work. A lookup is a count and a set of listings, with views and favorites only when Etsy sent them. Keyword difficulty is an Estimate with a formula, not a disguised volume score. Listing audits use Etsy’s published limits: 140-character titles, 13 tags, 20 characters. See the tag guide and title guide.
How I would actually work
Use eRank, or any list tool, to collect candidate phrases. Paste the short list into NicheKite and throw out the ones whose live titles are already a copy of the phrase and whose listing count makes you late. Then write the listing with Etsy’s help articles, not with a score. If you only have time for one tool and you want volume bars, pick eRank. If the bars bother you, pick NicheKite.
